Day #28 Tuesday

Had outing today. To 长春观 and 红楼

长春观:
长春观位于武昌大东门东北角双峰山南坡，黄鹄(hú)山(蛇山)中部，是我国道教著名十方丛林之一，为历代道教活动场所。称“江南一大福地”。观内崇奉道教全真派，以其创始人重阳祖师门人邱处机道号“长春子”命名
It is a Taoist temple. Some people practise Taoism while some just went there purely for exercise.
We also went to one new building in the 观. There are 2 ladies there carving status/phoenix/Gods on wood. They are so skillful that they can carve a very nice picture out from a plain wood.

Then, we went to the Hong Lou.
Hong Lou also known as the 辛亥革命武昌起义纪念馆.
红楼，即辛亥革命武昌起义纪念馆，位于武汉市武昌区阅马场（武汉市武昌区武珞路1号），因主体建筑为红砖砌墙、红瓦覆顶的红色两层楼房，故又称“红楼”，辛亥革命武昌起义纪念馆是1981年，纪念辛亥革命70周年时，在武昌起义军政府旧址（即清末湖北谘议局的旧址，武昌起义胜利后，革命党人在此建立了中华民国军政府鄂军都督府，即湖北军政府）建立了纪念馆，是国家重点文物保护单位、著名的爱国主义教育基地、国家4A级景点。
It is a building used as a military control centre for the uprising of the Hubei people by Mr Sun Yat-sen 中国国父孙中山

While waiting to get the ticket to the Hong Lou, we saw an uncle flying kite. He was so steady that he just sat down and play. And I strongly believe that the kite is more than 100 meter. Very high up! Just look at the photo :D

After that, me and jianwen went to ktv with the girls. It was my very first time to go to a ktv and sing. I used to sing infront of my computer using winamp and minilyrics only La. Sang for 3 hours. Still haven't high but time flies and we had to go. We went to 豪克来 beef steak house to eat. 9 person, $300++. Each about 30+- only. Quite worth. As we spent over 300rmb, we were given a VIP card.
I took French Wine beef steak, 70% done. First piece was ok but second piece was overcooked and very hard to cut and chew. So, I called the 服务员 and told him about this. He then asked his senior to attend me. I talked to the senior/captain and she said that the all beef are different, blablabla. I Eff-ed back and told her that I ate alot of beef and I can differentiate fully cooked or 70%. After my skillful conversation, she replaced my beef. But my noodle and egg were kana cheated (as they took my plate away, and my egg and noodle still there, and return me another piece of beef steak only).

Cabbed home. 2 cab were with guy and 1 cab were all ladies. Another cab were all girls and the cab driver bullied them, dropped them at the campus entrance only. Came to level1, discussed strategy at level 3. showered and went to level3 to blog.

Day #27 Monday

Had PM class in the morning till noon. Completed chapter 8 and 9. Was expecting result (i think have >80) but Mr Wee didnt' release our result.

Went to Hua Luo Li mall after class. Jw wanted to find a place to fix his spec. However, his spec is so pro that none of the shops here have similar type of screw to fit to his spec. So, he decided to make a new pair.

Walked around in the mall after visiting the spec shop. Kuan bought shirt again. Saw the girls all gather in 1 shop, trying clothes :D B is so... glamorous! I couldn't think of any other better words to describe.
"Abort mission, my heart has been taken" =X Dazzled, I was.

Then, we walked back and I went to buy Emergency Unit DVD. the dvd was 2 disc and 20 episodes, however, I checked the internet and found that EU has total of 30 episodes. So, where is the last 10? -_-

Jianwen went to make a spec at the shop opposite campus. It was $220. Quite stylish, but he say feel dizzy after wearing the spec. Perhaps the power were increased so he didn't feel comfortable with it.

As Jianwen went to Hankou with Wy and Tc (Tc's parent came to Wuhan), me and kuna went to fly kite. E bought the kite for #13. As we were totally beginner, we asked some local student how to play kites. They gave us some basic briefing then we all started flying the kite ourselves. The local student entangled our string, but we managed to settle that small problem. Everyone ran 400m track to fly the kite. A good reason/way/method to exercise to slim down/train for stamina.

After that, I went to kuan's house to online, until about 10pm and Tc them were back. They bought dvds :D one of them is chibi2. it was very very vivid! Ripped & compressed from a bluray to dvd I think.

Day #26 Sunday

Decided to go to Si Men Kou - Hu Bu Xiang for lunch at 1230noon.
14 persons, 4 cab, 4433 formation.
Some upsetness as some of the guys went first, left a cab of pure-ladies, which renders them somehow unsafe, as all of us don't know the way to Si Men Kou. The cab fee was about $35rmb. Our driver was like no idea how to go to SMK, so he just tailed Jw's cab. Jw's cab was fast, and so my cab was. Chiong, squeeze left and right, so catch up with Jw's.

Took light lunch (combination of this and that).
Oyster, 绍兴 Chou To Fu and Strawberry Hu Lu + etc.
The oyster was 10 rmb for 4 pieces.

Then, we went to shop around the SMK area. Went to 龙之印 shop. Me and Wy were to pioneer group who want to buy the shirts from there, however, it ended up with neither of us bought, but Jw Kuna and others bought. The sizing of shirt in China is a bit weird. They have larger width and shorter length. I can wear on a 175cm shirt but it is very short. Just a slight bend and I can show my simpson boxer. But the shirt is quite ok (as in the width). Then I tried 180cm 1, it is soooooo big! Zzz. So, I didn't buy la. Walked for few hours, bought nothing :( China market focuses on Ladies la. Not fair :( A bit upset didn't buy anything yet, but feel proud that I didnt spend -_-
After that, we splitted. The guys went to eat teppanyaki @ carrefour while the girls continue to shop/eat. The boss of teppanyaki is a singaporean and she treat us well :D We all ordered the $38 set meal. Took an illegal van back, as it can fit in 6 of us.

The girls came back quite late, about 10pm+. I was abit worried and wanted to go find Mr wee to phone them but relieved when I heard the noise as soon as they came back.

Day #25 Saturday

Woke up in the morning. Took bread for breakfast and online/watch drama in the morning.

It was a rainy day so we were lazy to go out to eat.

In the afternoon, we decided to go to 亚贸广场 to shop as the girls told us that it was nice and plenty to shop there.

Teeyong did not join us. So, total 5 of cee + the 8 girls went there. YaMao mall is like a departmental store with expansive stuffs. So, we went to the shophouses beside YaMao (as suggested by the girls) to look around. We decided to meet up with the girls 3 hours later (9pm) and to go home together.

We walked around the shophouses. Went to a music shop and kuan bought a capo and some picks. He tried the guitar there and we talked with the salesman. As usual, we faked and told the salesman that we were from Korea. He was very friendly and told us that Chinese people are very friend with Korean. Walking almost to the end of the road, we have no luck finding the girls. So, we walked back and we were in dilemma.
Someone suggested to go to carrefour to eat tepanyaki (and pangseh the girls)
we do not have their contact so I think it is no good to do so, so we just waited and thought what to eat. went to Mcd, Kfc, Japanese, and finally we decided to settle down @ the food court. It was about 8pm. Just when we ordered the food, we saw the girls came to the food court. They bought really a lot of things. Clothes, bags, etc. We guys bought nothing at all. so, please remember to take contact of each other if decided to split up, so can contact each other in case of any changes/urgency.

The food are not nice at all. I ordered Jap food. the waitress took the rice and chicken to microwave to reheat them. The taste is terrible. Wy Jw Kw Tc also bought food and we all agree that the food are very lousy. The girls do not believe us and they also bought food there. After the dinner, we went to a bookshop and we bought a lot of books/magazines.

The girls are so crazy about their fans and they bought magazines/albums of their idols. Then, some bought novels to bring back and give friends. Alicia amazingly bought 9 books -_-

I bought "the 74 letters sent by the most pro leaders" so I can upgrade myself :P
It was 29.80 and have 10% off. Books in china are so cheap and affordable! :D That's why china people 饱读诗书 xD
Could not find such similar price in Singapore/Malaysia!

Day #24 Friday

Had not shower for 2 days including Friday. There's no class in the morning.

We watched ghost movie (embedded in techcheong's deathnote dvd) with B E and X. the ghost movie is not very scary. not a very good show.

We had Culture lesson with Mdm Edith Shi in the afternoon 2 to 4 pm.

She talked to us about Wudang and other local culture information.

After the lesson, me J and L and E went to massage. E was just sitting there talking with us. L bought the VIP voucher, $300 for 10 times. It then rains heavily when we finished our massage.

We stopped by a bread shop and bought bread. It rains so heavily that most cab are occupied. after waiting for about 10 minutes, we finally got a cab and went back to hostel.

We watched another ghost movie while waiting B and people to come back. They were shopping at the mall near Mcd. Y tapao mcd for us. After that, I went to level4 to borrow broom and mop then went to level2 to watch movie with TV. My comp was used for watching HK drama in level1 by the girls.

About 1130, my movies ended and I went back to my own unit and rest :)

Day #23 Thursday

Judgement day.

We had common test in the afternoon 1pm. The CT contributes 25% of the whole module.

I am less confident in this CT. I thought I know well but eventually I'm not.
Have problem getting more than 90 marks. :(

We went home after the CT as we were told that there will be technician coming to fix a "Crest" in our toilet to prevent the water from shower part flow to the toilet part. However, it is somehow ridiculous as I dont see any point of the usage of the crest, as the water hardly moves towards the toilet part and I don't see any problem if there's water there.

After that, 13 of us went to (excluding ty) carrefour to eat some singapore food @ Orchard. The food was ok and the price was ok. but I would prefer to top some money and eat better food. I believe that the orchard's boss is a singaporean, from the way she dress/look like.

We then went to carrefour to shop for grocery and daily usage stuff. Carrefour is a cursed place. everytime you go there, no matter what you buy, be it egg/drinks/toilet paper... the total could sum up to about 100rmb. Zzz

Day #22 Wednesday

Study at home for whole day.
Went to canteen to buy food with jianwen.
We are the pioneer group of people who tried the canteen food.
For about $10RMB, you can buy a 3 person meal with enough rice and dishes.
And we learnt the locals to bring out own bowls and plates there so the rice is cheaper and we will get more rice.

No photo taken as everyone was abit obsessed by the common test tomorrow.

Saw came to our apartment today. and we had high efficient discussion for about 3 hours in the afternoon, and after that, he started to lose his concentration and we dismissed our low-efficiency-discussion.

I then went to level3 to find B and talk and she was studying. Then, I helped her abit in chapter3, and E came to level3 also about 30min later (aiks =s) Then, I started my lecture to 2 person. Then, Xj and L and Y came also -_- but they were studying their own.

The lesson was conducted until everyone was hungry and ready for dinner. We then went to 曾记 noodle stall in campus to eat. It was my first time to eat there. I think the food there was nice. The dinner was free for me :D After dinner, I went back and continue my lesson. This time, everyone was listening, B E X L Y were following my lessons. We settled at about 10pm and everyone went home to rest/shower/continue to study.

I went back to level1, forgotten if I have showered or not. Then, I went to sleep. I'm an early sleeper and early waker.

Day #21 Tuesday

Today was an outing day. Study at home in the morning, then we went to 湖北省博物馆 in the afternoon with Miss Wang and Mdm Edith Shi.







湖北省博物馆是湖北省唯一的省级综合性博物馆，也是全省最重要的文物收藏、研究和展示机构，主要承担着全省文物的收藏、保管、保护、陈列展览及藏品的研究工作。现馆舍位于风景秀丽的武昌东湖之滨，地址为湖北省武汉市武昌区东湖路156号。

十面埋伏 - flying dagger (actually they are arrowheads)

It is one of the biggest musuem I ever visited. and plentiful of meaningful/historical stuff of China. The musuem experience was superb and I had chance to look at items which I heard/read before in those Chinese novels I read before.

We also went to see the performance of the olden china instruments. flute, big and small bells, Gu zheng, and drums. the bells are called "编钟"

And carmen illegally recording the performance =x

I happened to take the photo of the 4 relics of the musuems: (actually I didnt know they are the 四大镇馆之宝)

郧县人I号头骨化石：时期为旧石器时代。1989年郧县曲远河口学堂梁子出土，颅长26厘米，颅宽19厘米，颅高12厘米，是湖北首次发现的古人类头骨化石。


曾侯乙编钟：时期为战国时期，1978年湖北随县曾侯乙墓出土。钟架长748厘米，高265厘米。全套编钟共六十五件，分三层，八组悬挂在呈曲尺形的铜木结构钟架上。每件钟均能奏出呈三度音阶的双音，全套钟十二个半音齐奏，可以旋宫转调。音阶为现今通用的C大调，能演奏五声、六声或七声音阶乐曲。


越王勾践剑：时期为春秋晚期，1965年江陵望山1号墓出土，长55.7厘米。


元青花四爱图梅瓶：时期为元代。2006年钟祥市郢靖王墓出土，高38.7厘米，口径6.4厘米，底径13厘米。瓶身肩部饰凤穿牡丹；腹部饰青花“四爱图 ”，即王羲之爱兰，陶渊明爱菊，周敦颐爱莲，林和靖爱梅、鹤；足部饰仰覆莲纹。三层纹样以卷草纹、锦带纹为界。白釉泛青，色彩清脆艳丽，是罕见的经科学发掘出土的元青花精品。

Our bus 师傅 was so kind that he drove us a longer route so we can enjoy more scenery of Wuhan. After that, we alighted at main gate and went opposite campus to eat. Then, went home and study and rest.

Day #20 Monday

Had tutorial on 9am.

It was a rainy day. After class, I felt guilty for not taking a nap in such wonderful conditions. So, I slept for 3-4 hours in the afternoon.

After woke up, we decided to go to Golden Hans 金汉斯 to have a dinner as to celebrate Xj birthday. 15 people went. $38 for buffet each and total $43 for buffet + beer.


The food was ok but I think is insufficient. 15 people was too much for a proper buffet meal as we spent more time talking instead of eating. I don't really fill full after eating and beering but the restaurant has stopped serving food at around 830pm =S


The meat were ok but the buffet options outside is pretty NG and not up to standard. But I think it is good enough for a $38 buffet meal. We had another group of people sitting in the vip room with us. that group were ex classmate and now working. I think that was their gathering. We cheered and had some fun together. :D Today was the very first day I drank so much beer.



Went home and slept.

Day #19 Sunday

A not very happening day.

Study at home most of the time. I went to level3 to use the room to study as TY and JW had their own room and my living room is not bright enough for me to study. However, that was the last time I went to level3 to study as after that I decided to move my living room dining table near to the window to get more light.

At night, me and jianwen cooked dinner. the fake idea is to celebrate xj's birthday on monday. and the actual idea is to fill my stomach up.

Jw was the main chef and I am the vege/onion/potato/garlic/ginger/misc cutter



After that, me jw and B and E went to buy cake for XJ. We walked all the way to Macdonald there -_- me and jianwen thought we were buying from opposite campus, then only we realise they wanted to go till mcd that far. no choice. girl = big = have to follow them. upon reaching mcd.. we were told that the 师傅 is not there already, cannot bake cake. so we walked back to LHS of South campus, found 2 cake shops, and we bought the cake from one of the shop.

Upon 1200, we went to XJ's house and 'suprised' her. as we were slightly noisy, we kana Eff-ed by the angmo lecturer.

Then, all came to my house -_- as no one living opposite me. after sharing the cake, everyone went back to sleep. :)

Day #18 Saturday

Ni Hao.

Today, we had trip to various places.

1. Wuhan University to see Cherry Blossom aka 樱花 aka Sakura
2. Si Men Kou 司门口 to have lunch
3. Mo Shan 磨山 / East Lake 东湖 for sight seeing

Cherry Blossom:
You can also find this kind of flower in China, not only Japan.

As this is the CB season, we can find plenty of CB everywhere near the East Lake in Wuhan.

We went to Wuhan University so we can look around in their campus and also to visit their CB garden.

The Wuhan Cherry Blossom Festive (中国武汉樱花节) is on March 16 to April 10. Tourists/Locals are expected to join the crowd and to have a view of the flowers in Wuhan.

东湖樱花园位于磨山南麓，占地150亩，与日本弘前樱花园和美国华盛顿樱花园并称为世界三大樱花之都。由于近年来的不断培育，樱花品种达30余个，近万株棵樱花遍植园内，八重垂枝樱、关山樱、云南早樱等都是樱花中的极品。

East Lake's CB Garden is near the Mo Shan, and is known as the one of the world's 3 biggest Town of Cherry Blossom, together with the Japan's 弘前樱花园 and Washington's 美国华盛顿樱花园. The CB Garden in Wuhan has more than 30 species of CB. However, the WU we went to has about 10.

Si Men Kou 司门口 - 户部巷:
司门口是武昌解放路与民主路交叉地带的泛称。现在坐落千这个交叉点的西北侧的武昌区人民政府，在明、清两代是湖北市政使司衙门，即藩司衙门，又称藩台衙门，俗称藩署。衙门坐北朝南，大门正对长街，即今解放路。

户部巷位于武昌自由路，是一条长150米的百年老巷，其繁华的早点摊群20年经久不衰。清朝时候，这条百米小巷曾因毗邻藩台衙门而得名。

磨山:
磨山，是国家级重点风景名胜区东湖的重要组成部分，她三面环水，六峰逶迤，既有优美如画的自然风光、众多的奇花异卉，又有丰富的楚文化人文景观，每年接待中外游客100多万人次。是武汉市最靓丽的旅游休闲胜地。

秀丽的山水，丰富的植物，别致的园中园和浓郁的楚风情是磨山景区的四大特点。
As me and a few people are lazy to walk around the whole place and the time is somehow short, we just sat down and chat. then, we went to try the boat thing. :)



Last but not least, we dropped off at Carrefour after the tour for dinner.
